Hammurabi Organization Brings Smile to orphans in Kirkuk with winter humanitarian activity

The Hammurabi Human Rights Organization carried out a humanitarian activity at the State Orphanage in Kirkuk Governorate on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

The humanitarian activity was funded by Christian Solidarity International (CSI) in coordination with Mr. Raed Asaad, a human rights activist in Kirkuk.

The Hammurabi Organization delegation included Mr. William Warda, Director of Public Relations , Mr. Abdul Sattar Abdul Jabbar, a member of the General Board – Relief Committee; Mr. Mohammed Noor Ahmed, Head of the Media Office in addition to staff members and volunteers, including Mr. Hagop Haik and Mr. Yas Ali.

The humanitarian activity included distributing winter clothing to 35 children residing at the orphanage, as well as distributing juice and cake. The activity coincided with the children's return from school on one of their mid-year exam days. This initiative served as a moral gesture of support and an encouraging reward for their academic efforts and their pursuit of top grades.

It is to be mentioned that all the orphanage residents are orphans of father, mother, or both, and despite they showed signs of good manners, discipline, cleanliness, and orderliness, which reflects the high level of care, upbringing, and attention they receive from the management and staff.

At the end of the visit, the team of Hammurabi Organization express thanks to the Director Mr. Ali Abdul Rahman, for the warm reception and constant keenness to the optimal children care.

In turn, Mr. Abdul Rahman expressed his gratitude to the team of Hammurabi Organization for this humanitarian initiative, wishing continuous success in their humanitarian work.
