On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Hammurabi Human Rights Organization implemented a humanitarian campaign at the autism center of the Children Hospital in Kirkuk.
The campaign was organized in coordination with Father Sarmed Mazen and Mr. Raed Asaad with funding of Christian Solidarity International.
Mr. William Warda , manager of the public relations of Hammurabi Organization headed the delegation.
The team of the organization included Mr. Abdul Sattar Abdul Jabbar, member of the General Board – Relief Committee, Mr. Mohammed Noor Ahmed, head of the media office, in addition to employees and volunteers, including Mr. Hagop Haig and Mr. Yas Ali.
The delegation was received by Dr. Taiba Wael and a number of the center staff. The children and their parents eagerly awaited the visit being a new hope to help them cope with life challenges.
The activity included distributing winter clothing to 9 children, and donations were made to their families due to their need for financial support to follow up on their children's condition, move between cities, and purchase necessary medications and treatments.. Fruit and drinks were also distributed to the families and children who endured the hardship of moving and traveling long distances in order to meet the team of Hammurabi Organization.
It is to be mentioned that this category of children is in constant need of medical and psychological care, which makes their families in dire need of continuous support. This support requires collaborative efforts from governmental, non-governmental and religious entities to alleviate the suffering of autistic children and reduce the burdens suffered by their families.
