THE DEATH OF THE IMPRISONED CITIZEN (SAMI KHALIL ABDUL JALIL IBRAHIM) AS A RESULT OF NEGLIGENCE AND SLACKNESS OF SHATT AL ARAB POLICE STATION IN TRANSFERRING HIM TO HOSPITAL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Hammurabi Organization for Human Rights received the complaint that the citizen (Sami Khalil Abdul Jalil Ibrahim) died on 7/6/2019 who was detained at Shatt al-Arab police station / Anti-Drug Department / Basra province.

The deceased citizen Sami was imprisoned on the issue of drug abuse and was subjected to severe bronchitis, which was supposed to be transferred to a hospital, but continued to suffer in one of the corridors of the Center for a period of time and until his health deteriorated seriously was transferred to the Republican General Hospital and is not yet known that he had died during the road or in the hospital.

The only thing that happened was to inform his family that he died and they should receive the body.

On the sidelines of this case, it is reported that the prison where the citizen Sami does not have the simplest service requirements, and that he was suffeimg from overcrowding of prisoners despite the small space in the prison, and that the slackness is the rules of the behaviors of those who manage .
