2014/07/09 – In cooperation with Christian Solidarity International (CSI-USA), HHRO delivered 140 food baskets to IDPs on the 7th and 8th of July_2014. The baskets consist of 12 different items and an additional 2 items for children under 1 year old. This raises the number of the beneficiaries of HHRO’s relief program to 500 families consisted of different Iraqi components.
The parcels where distributed in St. Youssif Chaldean Church in Al-Shorta neighborhood in Duhok city with the attendance of father Faiz Wadiee Shamani (Abbot of the virgin Church for Syriac Orthodox), father Afram (Assyrian Church of the East) and Mr. Anas (Ankawa.com journalist).
Since the occupation of Mosul, HHRO has been keen to deliver aid and distributed all necessary items to displaced families fleeing the violence. HHRO’s program included all areas of the Nineveh plain, in addition to the road between Hamdaniya, Erbil and Duhok as well.
HHRO’s team consisted of Mr. Yohanna Isaac, Akad Yohanna and Rafi Qelyana.
