A New Hope in a Small Bag — An initiative by Hammurabi Organization promotes the right to education for impoverished children

As part of its ongoing efforts to support children's right to education, the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization implemented a humanitarian activity on Friday, December 5, 2025, in Basra Governorate, specifically at Al-Bashara Kindergarten and Al-Bashara School.

This activity was held in cooperation with the Chaldean Al-Rahma Society with support and funding of Christian Solidarity International (CSI), as part of its initiatives aimed at promoting social solidarity and spreading the values of giving.

The field activity was supervised by Father Imad Al-Banna and a number of volunteers working in the humanitarian field. School bags and stationery were distributed to 75 students both male and female from impoverished and needy families.

This activity comes on the occasion of Christmas, as a symbolic gift that brings joy to students and reaffirm the organization's continued commitment to supporting children and providing them with a better educational environment despite economic and social challenges.

It is to be mentioned that this humanitarian activity is part of a series of similar activities carried out by the organization in several Iraqi governorates on this happy occasion every year.

The Hammurabi Human Rights Organization reaffirms its commitment to continuing joint work with its local and international partners in service of human dignity and to consolidate the principles of justice and equality in Iraqi society.
