The Hammurabi Human Rights Organization participated in a workshop funded by Christian Solidarity International) CSI) for countries implementing livelihood projects.
The workshop was held on February 4, 2026, via Microsoft Teams platform, with the participation of representatives of partner organizations in several countries, including Iraq, Syria, India, Pakistan, SriLanka, and Nigeria.
The workshop aimed to exchange experiences and review best practices and challenges related to implementing livelihood projects, thus contributing to enhance the economic sustainability of target groups, particularly minorities and marginalized groups.
The workshop witnessed an intervention by the Executive Director of Christian Solidarity International, Mrs. Selena, stressing the importance of continuing humanitarian and development support, and the need to focus on providing quality services to the most vulnerable groups, thereby enhancing their self-reliance and improving their living conditions .
Mrs. Helen Ray, Project Manager of the organization, delivered a welcoming speech addressed to the present partners and coordinated the presentations of participating entities.
Mr. William Warda the representative of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization at the workshop gave a presentation reviewing the completed and the ongoing livelihood projects of the organization in Iraq, highlighting the support mechanisms provided to religious and ethnic minorities and other marginalized groups, and the results achieved in terms of empowering beneficiaries economically and enhancing opportunities for community stability.
In his intervention, Mr. Warda praised the role of the Christian Solidarity organization in securing the necessary support to finance these projects.
A response to the inquiries of the partners from other countries, Mr. Warda focused on the work mechanism of the organization in monitoring the project progress and methods used to overcome the challenges may be faced by some projects at the beginning of work.
The Hammurabi Organization participation in this workshop comes as part of its commitment to advance its development programs and strengthening international partnerships in order to serve its goals of supporting human rights and empowering the most vulnerable groups in Iraq.
