HHRO president displaying the misery of Iraqi minorities at Vitoria University in Madrid

Ms. Pascale Warda, president of HHRO, former Minister of Displacement and Migration and a member of the Iraqi Women Network, visited Vitoria University in Madrid the  Spanish capital on 10/05/2016 where the University coordinated meetings for her with academics and students to discuss the Iraqi reality and the serious violations committed against the indigenous components, especially Christians and Yazidies.

 

Ms. Warda talked with details about the conditions of the displaced families and their daily suffering since they were forced out of their villages, towns and cities after the invasion of ISIS, she presented a number of serious violations such as captivity, sexual slavery, murder, abduction, being forced to change religious convictions, looting and the destruction of cultural and historical monuments.

 

The attendants of Vitoria University expressed their appreciation for Ms. Warda and the valuable information she provided and discussed about the conditions in Iraq, stressing their respect for her human rights positions and political expertise.
