Mr. William Warda, Public Relations Officer at Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, met the Aid and Relief officer of the German Foreign Affairs ministry Ms. Romy Blickle, the meeting, which took place at the center of the German embassy in Baghdad on Saturday 11/06/2016, was also attended by Mr. Philipp Rosler, Chancellor of Germanys embassy. Mr. William warda presented a document which included information about the Relief programs undertaken by Hammurabi Human Rights Organization aiming to provide support for IDPs whom were forced out of their homes due to the criminal acts of terrorist groups and armed violence, he also presented HHROs Human Rights report for 2015 in Iraq, that was followed by discussions about the conditions of the IDPs and the current issues, psychological, social and economic, thats due to the length of the period of time they had to endure in displacement camps away from their cities, towns and villages, Mr. Warda focused on the subject of survivors of the Islamic State, HHRO is keen to record stories and terrors committed by those terrorist groups.

 

As the president of the Iraqi Minorities Alliance, Mr. William Warda talked about the activities of the alliance, especially its initiative (the New Hope) to provide assistance for the Yazidi woman whom were subject to serious violations by ISIS groups.

 

Mr. William Warda confirmed that HHRO is keen to document the Human Rights violations and gives much attention to recording the violations endured by women and children, pointing to the organizations wide relationships with Iraqi and international Human Rights organizations, such as HHROs permanent relations with Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other organizations such as Christian Solidarity International, as well as HHROs participation in numerous conferences, seminars and workshops held in Europe and the United States, also stressing the importance and significance of HHROs role in the Alliance of Iraqi Minorities and the Iraqi Forum for Human Rights Organizations.

 

Concluding his talk with the importance of Germanys positive role in supporting Human Rights in Iraq and providing assistance for Iraqi components which are subject to violations, based on Germanys humanitarian positions in this field.
