Mrs. Pascal Warda, Chairwoman of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization and Mr. William Warda Public Relations Officer of the organization, participated in the celebration held by the European Union Mission in Baghdad on the occasion of the European annual day on 6/5/2018.

The celebration came as a traditional ceremony of unity, peace and security in commemoration of 'Schuman Plan' or the declaration of the 9 May 1950. On that day of the year the French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman, announced his proposal to establish the European Common Market, which was renamed the European Union under the Maastricht Treaty, the first document issued by a French official. This has taken an annual day of the decision of the European Council in 1985.

Mrs. Pascal Warda and Mr. William Warda forward congratulations to the European Ambassador, Ramon Blecua who pointed out that relationship with Iraq has been witnessing remarkable positive developments for several years. He added in a speech to the participants in the ceremony, that countries of Europe have gone through hard and difficult times in two wars, the First World War and the Second World War until it has reached the development of democratic political structure.

Mrs. Pascal and Mr. William Warda participation in the ceremony came to meet the invitation of HE the EU Ambassador Ramon Blecua.

 On the sidelines of the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Warda held meetings with a number of ambassadors and political figures, deliberating several issues related to the situation of Iraqi minorities and the importance of assisting Iraq at this stage, which requires the reconstruction of cities , towns and villages destroyed by ISIS especially in the province of Nineveh.

Mrs. Pascale and Mr. William Warda briefed to ambassadors, the accurate pictures of the situation there, as a result of the visits by Hammurabi Human Rights Organization to the liberated areas.

The celebration included several musical programs and folkloric paintings reflecting the civilization and diversity of Iraq.
