On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization carried out a humanitarian activity at the Juvenile Female Rehabilitation School - Juvenile Reform Department, in coordination and cooperation with the Arabkha Organization and with funding from Christian Solidarity International (CSI), aiming to support the female inmate residents during the winter season.
The activity included distributing winter clothing and women's hygiene supplies to (55) female residents, in an initiative reflecting the organization's commitment to the principles of human rights and social justice, and its keenness to improve the living conditions of vulnerable groups within correctional institutions.
The activity was carried out by Mr. William Warda, Director of Public Relations at Hammurabi Organization, and Mr. Abdul Sattar Abdul Jabbar, a member of the Gerneral Board of the organization – Relief Committee, along with volunteers Hagop Haig and Yas Ali.
The visiting team was received by Ms. Zaman Kathim Hamza, Director of the Juvenile Rehabilitation School for Female Inmates, who welcomed the initiative and praised the efforts made to enhance humanitarian support for the inmates. The team also conducted a field tour of the workshops within the facility to view the handicrafts produced by the inmates as part of the rehabilitation and vocational training programs implemented there.
This activity is part of a series of initiatives implemented by the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization to provide support and care to the most vulnerable groups in society and to promote a culture of solidarity and human compassion in Iraq.
